Prom 2014

Happy Easter! It means nothing without Jesus! "Then the angel spoke to the women. 'Don't be afraid!' he said. 'I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying." Matthew 28:5-6.

I had the honor to photograph two proms this weekend. The girls were stunning. The dresses were astonishing. Oh and the young men, they cleaned up quite well! This type of photo shoot was a first for me and I enjoyed it. Everyone was such a pleasure to work with! My "models" were full of life and many had fun with the idea of having a quick photo shoot before the madness of prom began!

History Is In The Making...

Well, my second wedding of the year is complete! Not going to lie, I was a bit nervous for this day to get here. Like I've said before there are no "do overs," everything is in the moment and I better pray I got a nice shot the first go around! Huge shout out to my trusty sidekick Dallas, who helped me out along the way! Thanks to her we were able to knock out the pictures after the ceremony fairly quickly! I absolutely loved this couple, venue, flowers, decor, everything about their special day! Congratulations to the newest Mr. and Mrs. Davidson!!!

Feeling Blessed...

Booking your first wedding is extremely hard to do! Let's face it, the wedding day is typically stressful and in a photographer's point of view there are no "do overs," so wanting to step into the wedding world has been very intimidating for me! This wedding I shot a few weeks ago and it was definitely a learning experience when it comes to what all a photographer puts into to not only the wedding itself, but the preparations! This was such a humbling experience for me and I will never take for granted what all goes into a wedding. Yes, I'm married and I had my "big wedding," but weddings today just seem more detail oriented than what it was 7 years ago! Any who, enough rambling from me I hope you enjoy what I have to share!

Summer Sessions...

This is a sneak peek of what's to come for Raven Lawson Photography this summer! The lemonade stand is only 1 of 2 sets I will have for the summer and meant for more of the "country" scenery that many of you adore so much. The other surprise set will be meant for an "urban" setting!

I also had 2 helpful models with me!
